Blog Giveaway! 1 ¼ Yards of Sequined Mesh Fabric

Update! I just realized I said the drawing closes on Friday, September 21, but it actually closes on Friday, September 22 – sorry about any confusion. You have 24 more hours to enter, though, so that’s the good news!

Happy Sunday, campers!

Thanks so much for the kind words about my Disco Diva Bomber Jacket. It’s too hot to wear it today, but when the weather cools, I’m definitely going to be stylin’ with it! And as my gift to you, I’m holding a giveaway for a yard and a quarter-plus of the Fabulous Sequined Designer Mesh – Gunmetal that I used to make my M7100 Bomber Jacket. That’s more than enough to make your own, or to make a skirt, dress, or whatever your flights of fancy may imagine! As an added bonus, I’ll include the larger scraps from my projects, so you’ll have more than enough to make something, well, Gorgeous!

There is a line in the middle of the sequins – it’s a manufacturing thing. Just cut around it.

The drawing to win this beauty will take place Friday afternoon. To be entered in the drawing, just leave a comment saying what you would make with it. Entries will close at noon on September 22nd. At 5 PM Eastern that day, I’ll randomly choose one name from the entries.

Because of shipping costs, this contest is limited to US addresses only. No purchase is necessary to enter, of course, and one entry per person please.

Good luck, and have fun!

  1. I LOVE a good sparkle tank top to go under a blazer and slacks. if I could only get a tank top pattern that I finally think is perfect, I need a perfect shell pattern for a large bust that isn’t princess seamed, then I would use up half my stash on it!!

  2. I have been craving something sparkly! I would make a top to go with a (probably) satin maxi skirt for the upcoming holidays.

  3. I would make a tank to wear under a jacket. I have some beautiful brocade with black gold and silver for a holiday jacket.

  4. I’d use the fabric for a lined bodice and sheer bell sleeves of a dress. The skirt would be flared and made of satin or taffeta in a similar color.

  5. Love your jacket! I would like to make a waist length cardigan partial sequins and partial wool knit with a hand knitted collar. In a fun color of course!!

  6. I’m early pregnant with my fourth child. And nothing says 4th pregnancy like a sequined maternity sheath, right? Even baby #4 needs to be bedazzled. 😉☺️

  7. Ooh, sparkly! I don’t have a lot of occasions that call for dressing up, but that is so pretty! It might be lame, but I’d go with a tank or cami to get the most wear out of it–with a luxe skirt for the holidays, or with jeans for going out

  8. My 3 DDs (9, 10,12) also sew. I think we’d try and make matching skirts for the holidays if there was enough material or maybe matching sparkly bags.

    Thanks – Kimber

  9. Oh my! I would make a sequin skirt to wear with a fuzzy sweater for the holiday season. Love this! Or maybe it would be a bomber jacket like yours… depends on how the silver looks next to my face.

    Thanks and happy blogiversary!

  10. I’m not one to wear sparkly clothes, but my granddaughter is! I’m sure she’d like a jacket similar to the one you made. Fortunately Jalie’s Charlie includes child sizes.

  11. I would love to make my four year old granddaughter a sparkly twirly skirt. With the leftovers (if above mentioned 4 year old would let me have any), I would make myself a tee or tank.
Thank you for your generous offer.

    Allea

  12. A skirt for My Sis to wear on the day of her final radiation treatment, 10/20… and if enough fabric left a matching accessory, maybe headband or choker. She is a real Diva, and loves fashion. #breastcancersucks

  13. I would love to make a sequined Ogden camisole to wear with jeans and a jacket for a little sparkle. Thanks! Your bomber jacket looks fun too.

  14. Sparkle cami or short sleeve shirt! I’m thinking Scout Tee or Ogden Cami. Then I can pair it with everything from jeans to fancy skirts.
Also, I just envisioned a plain dark Kalle with a sequined pocket. Its great in my head, hehe.

  15. I would make a long swingy tunic top to pair over velvet leggings–perfect for the easy fun holiday parties to come soon!

  16. I am thinking that a bomber jacket is the perfect choice- but you already know that ! Thanks for a great giveaway.

  17. I too think a jacket would be great! Or a tank.
And the rest would probably end up on horse showmanship jacket!

  18. I would make this fabric up in a basic t-shirt pattern and wear it with jeans and fun boots. And I’d strut around town like I dressed like that all the time.

  19. I think I would start with a pillow so I could play with it at home, then some embellishments’ on multiple items, and I would have to make a bag or some jewelry for everyday wear!

  20. I would love to make my daughter (13 yo) a sparkly dress for a couple of reasons. She loves, loves sequins and she started a new school this year and would like to make an impression at the fall functions. Thanks for the give away!!

  21. I like the bomber jacket idea that you made. I am wanting to make a bomber jacket, so I guess I would copy cat you. It’s not likely we would ever be in the same place let alone the same time.☺

  22. The bomber jacket is so cute!! What fun it will be to recreate something similar or a new holiday top for this year’s festivities. Thanks for the giveaway and inspiration!
